About Copying Data

Expere EZ Config Default Data provides the ability to copy data in two different ways. First, the program supports the ability to copy the entire default data content, which is useful whenever updating to a new content source alias. The program also supports the ability to copy individual organizations, policies, or products, either within the same content source alias/line of business combination or to an alternate content source alias/line of business combination.

Copying Organizations

Copying Policies

Copying Products

When the system performs a copy, it also incorporates any content changes for the data available to be collected in Expere EZ Config Default Data. The table below illustrates various scenarios related to content changes, how they are handled by Default Data, and what user action may be required as a result.

Scenario Copy System Process User Action
New data entry field New data entry field(s) are available for data entry if field logic is met.

For example, some data entry fields always display and are available for data collection, while other data entry fields have logic associated with them and are only visible for data collection when applicable.

Evaluate the affected organizations, policies, and products to determine if setting a value is required.
Removed data entry field Removes the data entry field from organizations, policies, or products in which it resides. Analyze and review all organizations, policies, and products to determine if updates are needed.
Remove option(s) for a dropdown Removes option for the given dropdown from organizations, policies, or products in which it resides.

Data entry fields that are collected together for a removed option are also removed. For example, if Additional Address Type option 'Branch Type' is removed, the Street Address, Second Line Street Address, City, State, and Postal Code data collected for 'Branch Office' are also removed.

Analyze and review all organizations, policies, and products and select another value.
New option(s) for a dropdown New dropdown option(s) are available for selection. Analyze and review all organizations, policies, and products to determine if a change is required.
