Working with Products

What is a Product?

A product is comprised of the following:

default data related specifically to the product being created
a collection of policies where each policy has its own set of default data

For example, separate products may be created for each type of Line of Credit product offering to be able to differentiate corresponding product default data. In addition, each Line of Credit product may be able to use some of the same policies. However, some products may require separate policies to be created to differentiate the default data and assigning those policies to applicable products.

Working with the Product List

The Product page displays a list of the products created for the account selected. Use the column headings (Product Name, Content Source Alias, Line of Business, Last Updated, or Last Updated By) to sort the product list accordingly.

You may search within the Product List for a specific product. Enter your search criteria within the search field to filter and display only those products matching the search criteria.

Note:

After performing a search, if you use the column headings to sort the displayed records and then clear the Search field, all records are displayed again and sorted alphanumerically by the Name.
After sorting the Organizations page by Content Source Alias, selecting the Organizations button from the main navigation will reset the sorting to the default alphabetical order by Name.
