Working with Preview and In Branch Documents
What is a Preview Document?
Preview documents allow you to view the content of a document without fully executing
a transaction in the Customer Test environment. This can be useful for
reviewing documents to better understand their usage and purpose. It can also be
used to see how the content of documents changes after you add, edit, or otherwise
modify products, policies, and data in EZ Config Default Data. Examples include:
- You add a new document to Expere and want to review it.
- You edit the Privacy Policy Data and wants to preview how those edits effect document output.
Note: A watermark of "PREVIEW" is automatically applied
in the Customer Test environment.
What is an In Branch Document?
In Branch documents are typically a collection of materials that are readily
available for staff to use in the Production environment. The purpose of an
In Branch document is to ensure that staff have quick access to essential
information, enhancing customer service and operational efficiency. Example
include:
- Customer Onboarding: Documents for opening new accounts, including account agreement forms and privacy policy.
- Product Information: Documents that contain details about products and services offered, including rates, terms, and features.
- Examples: ARM Disclosure, Home Equity Disclosure, Privacy Policy, Truth In Savings Policy Disclosure, Terms and Conditions
Note: Watermarks are not automatically applied in the
Production environment; however, users can apply a watermark if
desired.

- Additional data may be required dependant on document selection rules or instancing logic.
About Watermarks
Watermarks cannot be set or modified through Default Data. Watermark configuration is found within Packages and Packets at the Packet and Document levels.
Within the production environment: if watermarks are configured within
Packages and Packets, the watermark appears within Default Data generated documents,
otherwise watermarks do not appear in the generated documents.
Note: If watermarks are configured at the Document level within
Packages and Packets, the generated watermark uses those settings and overrides
the Packet configuration. If no Document watermark configuration exists, the
Packet configuration is used.
Within the CT environment: Watermarks appear regardless of the configuration
within Packages and Packets. The configuration for watermarks in this environment
include:
- Watermark Format = Text
- Watermark Text = "Preview"
- Location = Center
- 45 Rotation
