Document Properties

The ability to define copy and watermark information at the document level is available within Expere EZ Config Packages and Packets.

The Document Properties popup allows you to define copy and watermark information for a selected document within a packet. This is helpful in situations where your packet includes a document that may require more or fewer copies than all the others within the packet or if you have a need to have different watermarks than other documents within the packet. These copy and watermark values may be defined independently for each document within the packet, allowing you to customize the values that were previously defined within the packet settings.

To specify document-level properties, hover over the document name in the Packet Documents list and click Properties. Use the Document Properties popup to enter the properties you wish to define for the selected document.

Set Copies and Watermarks

Use this field to enable document-level property setting. When this is enabled, you will be able to specify document-level copy and watermark information, which overrides any packet-level settings previously applied for the selected document. Enabling the Set Copies and Watermarks will default all properties defined at the packet level, and those properties can then be modified per document. Disabling and enabling this field will reset the values back to the packet-level settings.

Number of Copies

Use the Number of Copies field to specify how many instances of this document you want printed. This value must be 1 or greater.

Watermark Setup

Use the Enable Watermarks field to enable the watermark setup options. For each copy of the document, you can set an individual watermark. If you have specified 3 copies, you can specify up to 3 separate watermarks - one for each copy of the document.

For each watermark, define the following information:
  • Watermark Format. Currently, only text watermarks are permitted. Select Text to enable the remaining watermark fields.
  • Watermark Text. Enter the watermark text you wish to display on this copy of the document.
  • Note: Avoid using the following special characters for watermark text, as these characters will cause errors during processing:
    • <
    • >
    • &
  • Location. Choose a location for the watermark on the document. Options include: Top, Center, or Bottom.
  • Rotation. When you have specified a center location for a watermark, you have the option of rotating the watermark 45 degrees.

Once you have defined document-specific properties, that document displays in the Packet Documents list with a yellow dot to indicate that its properties differ from what has been defined at the packet level, as shown below. Disabling Set Copies and Watermarks property hides the yellow dot indicator.
