Avoid using list box. Instead, describe what the customer should do. If you are referring to a drop-down list, use the label for the list and list. Do not use drop-down or list box.

Correct examples

Select Purchased in the Type list.
If policies have not been assigned to the organization, the list displays ‘Contact your Policy Administrator to create a policy within administration.’

Incorrect examples

Select Purchased in the drop-down list.
If policies have not been assigned to the organization, the list box displays ‘Contact your Policy Administrator to create a policy within administration.’
