Import Field Grid Rules

Requirements Editor allows you to import field grid rule data from a spreadsheet to efficiently populate field attributes. This feature supports faster, rule-driven field population when creating PDF REQ files.

To import Field Grid rules from a spreadsheet:

With a PDF req file open in Requirements Editor, select PDF > Import Field Grid Rules...
The Locate Field Grid Rules file dialog is displayed.
Browse for and select the spreadsheet file containing the field grid rule data, then click Open.

Requirements Editor parses the spreadsheet and updates the following columns in the Field Grid tab when matches are found:

Business Logic
PTR
Is Fillable Field
Output Format

Note:

Requirements Editor matches rows based on partial Field Name values.
The PTR column in the REQ must be empty for the import to update the field values.
