Meeting Requirements for Accessibility

This section shows how to enable the Tagged PDF rendering option and describes how to create and modify content to support business requirements around accessibility features.

The first step towards enabling accessibility is to define the document rendering options for generating tagged PDFs. Once the Tagged PDF rendering option is defined, you can then author and generate test content for accessibility.

In the Requirements Editor, several accessibility features are available; some implemented as elements or attributes defined specifically in the content (within the XML), others as default settings that can be leveraged or changed if desired.
Note: Standard, or base, content has not been designed to support several important and commonly used accessibility features. Each organization must therefore author and test these features as custom content.
