To support ADA accessibility, LinkText/LinkReference functionality allows document authors to insert a link reference (formatted as Superscript) to corresponding explanations and generate a properly tagged PDF so that the reference text is tagged immediately following the superscript. The reference text is read in context with the denoted superscript/footnote as opposed to being read at the bottom of the page, making the information easier to understand for visually impaired users.
Note: - Authoring content using the LinkText/LinkReference elements does not modify the presentation in the print output, but rather, adds functionality allowing reference text to be read by screen readers in the context of where the link exists.
- Subscript is not currently supported with LinkText/LinkReference.
