Troubleshooting and Error Messaging
Below are common problems and error messages related to importing data:
- I receive the following error when performing the import: “User does not have permission to parent organization: [organization short name]”.
- This error message occurs during initial validation of the files. The logged in user performing the import does not have access to the organization provided or it may be that the organization does not exist in the hierarchical structure and can not be create new if user does not have access to the parent organization.
- I imported a new organization but when I try to manage policies or products in the OPPSA application, I receive an stating “Error Loading Policy Data”.
- Go to the INDEXES menu option and review the index data. Verify there is not an index record with a blank Index Name.
- I’m seeing the import Existing Items page appears options for Packets and Packages.
- Import of Packets and Packages is not supported in this version. If exported from an older version of OPPSA using the Select All option, these files would have been included. Remove these from the extracted contents.
- I receive the following error when performing the export: "The remote server
returned an error: NotFound."
- The export process can take longer depending on the amount of data and the
volume of items being exported. Try selecting a smaller set of files to
export. Note: The Terms and Conditions policies are very large data sets; try exporting individually or as a smaller set. If you are unable to export a single item, contact your System Administrator to troubleshoot and review if the environment is configured with a Load Balancer that may require increasing the timeout settings.
