Using Security Administration
This procedure explains the process for using Wolters Kluwer Security Administration to
do the following:
- Log in to Security Administration
- Create your account
- Create your organization
- Add users
- Assign roles
- Log in to Security Administration: the URL for Security Administration is based off the server location specified in the Transforms.xml file completed as an installation prerequisite. See Configuring Transforms.xml and creating/installing Security Administration for detailed information. -->
- On the Account page, create your account; enter your Account Name and Customer Number (these are required fields). Select Expere® EZ Config Default Data in the Licensed Products section. Click Save.
- On the Users page, add your user(s); enter the Username and
confirm.
- A registration email is sent to the user’s email with instructions to complete the registration process and user information setup. If Suppress Emails is selected in the User Status section, the account administrator will complete the registration process and establish the password for each user.
- Selecting Service Account in the User Status section results in the password never expiring.
- In the Roles section, the following canned roles and permissions are
provided. Assign the appropriate role and permissions to the user. Custom roles
may be created with specific permissions by clicking on the Roles page if
needed.
- Users must have the Basic Access for Default Data permission to access the Expere EZ Config Default Data application and the account they are assigned to must be licensed for Expere® EZ Config Default Data. Upon login, if the user does not have this basic permission or the account is not licensed, the user will receive a message stating ‘You are not authorized to use this application.'
Role Permission Description Manage Default Data Assign or Remove Permissions for Default Data Allows an Account Administrator to assign or remove permissions for user accounts for Expere® EZ Config Default Data product. Basic Access for Default Data Allows access to the Expere EZ Config Default Data application. Default Data Basic User Basic Access for Default Data Allows access to the Expere EZ Config Default Data application. Default Data System View Only System-level view-only permission. Allows access to all accounts across the system for troubleshooting purposes, but does not provide any edit or save ability to the data within the accounts. Default Data Power User Import Default Data Details This permissions provides the ability to perform import functionality within Expere EZ Config Default Data. Basic Access for Default Data Allows access to the Expere EZ Config Default Data application. This permission allows edit, bulk copy, and export functions. Note: The following permissions are also available for you to create custom roles if you wish to define specific job duties. Some organizations may find it useful to assign specific permissions if you wish to segregate duties. These permissions are more restrictive and provide access to only specific functionality.Role Description View Default Data - Allows a user to access and view information within Expere EZ Config Default Data.
- User cannot perform copy, edit, import, or export functions.
Bulk Copy Default Data - Allows a user to perform a bulk copy in Expere EZ Config Default Data and to view all information.
- Users with this permission are able to access and view all information within Expere EZ Config Default Data.
Edit Default Data - Allows a user to make changes to policies, organizations, and products within Expere EZ Config Default Data with the exception of performing import, export, or bulk copy tasks.
- Users with this permission are able to access and view all information within Expere EZ Config Default Data.
Export Default Data Details - Allows a user to access export functionality within Expere EZ Config Default Data and to view all information.
- Users with this permission are able to access and view all information within Expere EZ Config Default Data.
- Click Save.
