Start Task

Selecting Start Task takes you to the starting place to complete the task. Select Start Task at one of the following locations:

Select and Start Task on the Tasks grid.
Select and Start Task for a specific task on the Transaction Summary page.

The Start Task action can be completed for a task when an Integrated Task definition is associated to the task and any of the following conditions occur:

The task is assigned to the current user, and the user is assigned to the workflow role required to complete the task. Workflow role(s) can be assigned to users by a financial institution’s Vanceo administrator.
The task is assigned to a different user than the current user, the current user is assigned the Claim Assigned Tasks permission in Security Administration, and the current user is assigned the required workflow role to complete the task.
The task is not currently assigned to a user, the current user is assigned the Claim Unassigned Tasks permission in Security Administration and the current user is assigned the required workflow role to complete the task.

Note:

To use the Start Task action, an Integrated Task definition must be associated with the task in a Vanceo process. Contact your financial institution’s Vanceo administrator to use this functionality.
