Punctuation
The following punctuation standards are in place:
Commas
Use serial commas when listing more than 2 items in a sentence.
Correct
The shopping list contains apples, oranges, and bananas.
Also
The recipe calls for tomatoes, onions, and salt and pepper. (Because salt and pepper are commonly thought of together, their usage can be listed as a single item.)
Incorrect
The shopping list contains apples, oranges and bananas.
Periods - Spacing
Single space after periods. Do not double space. This isn't 1950.
Quotation Marks
Use of quotation marks around names or as reference (but not as part of a title). Strongly discouraged.
