Do not use capitalization or uppercase to create emphasis.

Do not use capitalization randomly.

Capitalize names for legal reasons:

Capitalize industry standard terms only if the rest of the industry does so.

For new names and terms, work toward consistency in captilization with other company products, services, documents, etc.

When documenting a user interface, the documentation should match the interface.

Sentence case vs. Title Case

The use of sentence capitalization in headings and titles is becomind more common and accepted as standard.
