AppPool Identity User Parameter
Summary: This release includes the addition of a new transform variables to provide a way to set the the identity of the AppPool user to something other than Network User. If you wish to continue to use Network Services, you do not need to change this variable.

If the UseAppPoolUser is set to true, the AppPoolUserName, AppPoolUserDomain, and AppPoolUserPassword should also be specified.

If the UseAppPoolUser is set to false, or if this variable does not exist, the default Network Service user will be used.

Updated Logging Levels

The logging information no longer includes any potentially sensitive data, such as the transaction data. The path information has not been removed from the logging detail.

Summary: This release includes changes to the program regarding product applicabilities are saved and merged into the transaction data, specifically when there is no policy associated with the product, but you wish to set an applicability. This change affects the following scenarios:

  • When reposting data
  • When converting data from OPPSA

As a result of these changes, a database migration script will now run as part of the update/installation process.

Suppport for Internet Explorer (IE 11) Discontinued
Summary: Internet Explorer 11 will enter End of Life on June 15, 2022. Microsoft will no longer provide security updates or bug fixes for this software after the End-of-Life date.

As a result, Wolters Kluwer is moving forward with plans to end operational support for Internet Explorer 11 when using the following hosted applications:

  • DocViewer
  • Expere Document Services
  • Document Generation Services
  • EZ Config Default Data
  • EZ Config Packages and Packets
  • Expere Document Portal
  • Fulfillment Manager

Our product team has tested and certified the aforementioned products on Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome. If you have not done so, please utilize either Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome starting with the June production deployments of these applications.

Summary: This release includes clarifications to the Expere EZ Config Default Data User Guide regarding the maximum logo file size allowed. We recently made updates to limit the the logo file size as a precaution against malicious files, and are updating the User Guide to reflect that change.
