How to update an existing BBE installation

This installation guide covers how to update an existing BBE installation. Screenshots are included from a deployment of BBE 7.1, but the instructions apply to future versions as well.

Who should install

All clients using BBE should apply the latest updates.

Prerequisites

  • The most recent version of CRA Wiz
  • The most recent version of BBE
  • A complete deployment configuration file (ex. dev.txt)
    Note: Update your deployment configuration file, if needed, before proceeding with the upgrade. For more information on updating your configuration, refer to the BBE New Installation Instructions. If you do not have your configuration file, please contact WKFS Technical Support at 800.261.3111.

Required permissions

Wolters Kluwer Financial Services recommends that the user running the install have both a Windows admin and SQL Server admin login credentials.
