Apply, Stop, and Remove a Process

Apply a Process

A process is applied to a transaction to initiate a workflow where tasks can be completed, and the transaction is moved to completion.

To apply a process to a transaction, you must be assigned the Apply Process permission in Security Administration, and the transaction must not have a process applied.

To apply a process, complete one of the following:
  • On the Transactions grid, select to the right of a transaction and select and Apply Process. Select the appropriate Vanceo process for the transaction.

  • On the Transaction grid, select a transaction to open it. Select the ellipsis icon at the top of the Summary page and select Apply Process.
  • On the Transaction grid, select a transaction to open it. Select the Transaction Details button at the top of the Summary page. Select the ellipses icon and Apply Process.

Stop a Process

Stopping a process stops all active tasks in the process, stops new tasks from starting, and ends the process.

To stop a process applied to a transaction, you must be assigned the Stop Process permission in Security Administration, and the transaction must have a process applied.
Note:
Stopping a process is not reversible.
To stop a process, complete one of the following:
  • On the Transactions grid, select to the right of a transaction and select and Stop Process. Select the appropriate Vanceo process for the transaction.

  • On the Transaction grid, select a transaction to open it. Select the ellipsis icon at the top of the Summary page and select Stop Process.
  • On the Transaction grid, select a transaction to open it. Select the Transaction Details button at the top of the Summary page. Select the ellipses icon and Stop Process.

Remove a Process

Removing a process deletes all data associated with the Vanceo process including all tasks and comments.

To remove a process, you must be assigned the Remove Process permission in Security Administration and the transaction must have a process applied.
Note:
Removing a process is not reversible.
To remove a process, complete one of the following:
  • On the Transactions grid, select to the right of a transaction and select and Remove Process. Select the appropriate Vanceo process for the transaction.

  • On the Transaction grid, select a transaction to open it. Select the ellipsis icon at the top of the Summary page and select Remove Process.
  • On the Transaction grid, select a transaction to open it. Select the Transaction Details button at the top of the Summary page. Select the ellipses icon and Remove Process.
