Upgrading STSv3

This section explains how to upgrade STSv3 within the context of the entire upgrade process.

Before upgrading STSv3, read the following:

  • Installing and configuring prerequisites are not necessary during the STSv3 upgrade process.
  • Uninstall the existing version of STSv3 before running the new installer. Note that uninstalling STSv3 does not remove IIS or Application Pools; consider manually removing them before installing STSv3.
  • Consider cleaning up log files/older program files folder before installing STSv3 here:
    • C:\ProgramData\WKFS\STSTestWebClient
    • C:\ProgramData\WKFS\STSV3
  1. Database upgrade: follow the steps in Configuring Transforms.xml and creating/installing Security Administration.
  2. Run the installer from a Powershell admin prompt; confirm IIS applications were re-added properly and perform an IIS reset.
