SmartSign+ Integration

This release includes additional enhancements to the integration between ClosingCenter and SmartSign+. These changes provide functionality with SmartSign+ that were previously available only with the SmartSign Web selection.

Lender Configuration Management Changes: SmartSign+ and SmartSign Web Options

We have added a configuration option to Configuration Management that makes SmartSign + and SmartSign Web separate selection options within the new eOriginal Signing Integration Transaction Source field on the Company Information section of the Configuration Management page.

Note that this configuration option can only be specified by a ClosingCenter Admin. Contact eOriginal support contact to have this option set up for your organization.

Generation of Preview Packages in Signature Portal

ClosingCenter now provides the ability to preview packages within the SmartSign+ Signing Room Signature Portal. Preview links and preview packages are now generated when the user is in the Signature Portal.

SmartSign Web Preview Package Disabled

Automated Preview Package creation is now disabled in Feature Preferences when SmartSign Web has been selected as the eOriginal Signing Integration in Configuration Management.

Send for PreClose

ClosingCenter now supports sending for PreClose with SmartSign+ integrations.

SmartSign+ SMARTDoc in Docviewer

With this release, SmartSign+ SMARTDocs now render and display within Docviewer when the GET Document is called.

Advanced Search: Searching Original Friendly ID Formatting

Closing Center now includes the ability to copy and paste the friendly ID from SmartSign+ into the access code field on the Advanced Search page to locate a transaction.

Create Preview Packages

We have also added the ability to generate and send preview documents prior to eSigning. Sending preview packages is now a configurable primary action, and previewed packages now populate with Closing Details for all participants.

Note that visibility of documents in the preview package is based on the participant role.

Add Preview Package to Preferences

We have also added a new Preview Package option to the Preview Preferences section of Feature Preferences to allow you the option to make previewing packages the first available option when entering ClosingCenter.

Set this option to Yes to make sending for preview the first available action in the dashboard and to create a preview document for each borrower.

Preview Packages Via Email Link

We have also added the ability to preview packages via email link. When users click the invitation link, they are taken to the Signing Room portal to enter the correct transaction and participant information. Once the information is entered, ClosingCenter generates the package preview and displays it within the Signing Room.
Note: This setting must be enabled within Preferences.

ClosingCenter Document Custom Field

A new custom field has been added to SmartSign+ that works with Closing Center in the same way the Execution Type custom field in eCore already functions. The ClosingCenter Document field is intended to replace the Execution Type custom field in eCore. The ClosingCenter Document field uses the following values:
  1. Notary
  2. Paper Note
  3. Instruction
  4. PreClose
  5. Preview

If no option is selected for this field, the transaction is handled as entirely digital.

Convert to PreClose

With the addition of the previously mentioned ClosingCenter Document field, ClosingCenter now has the ability to convert to PreClose. Previously, this functionality was available via custom field in eCore.

Resend for PreClose

The Resend for PreClose option is now available for more actions after the initial PreClose email is sent, regardless of workflow.

Encompass Integration Changes

Borrower Phone Number

We have updated the program to capture and display borrower phone numbers on SmartSign Web transactions for Encompass.

Doc Tag Support

ClosingCenter now captures and converts Encompass tags to the SmartSign+ tag format.

Document and Participant Data

The SmartSign+ integration in ClosingCenter now captures and combines all Encompass participant and document data to create documents, packages, participants, and tags.

Encompass Preview Package and Package Creation

With this release we have added a new preview process for Encompass integrations. Now, when the Send for Preview button is clicked for any Encompass packages using SmartSign+, ClosingCenter now creates the preview package. This preview package can only be viewed by borrowers associated with documents relevant to their participant information and roles. SmartSign+ then generates the closing packages for Encompass customers.

Capture and display prop address, loan amount, and loan number

This release includes changes to allow the capture and display of the following fields on SmartSign+ Encompass packages:

  • Property Address
  • Loan Amount
  • Loan Number

Future Enhancements

Multi-Factor Authentication

Development of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is currently underway and will be available within a future release.

Additional SmartSign+ Integration

Additional enhancements and functionality for the SmartSign+ integration are planned for future releases. Note the following features are not yet supported within ClosingCenter and SmartSign+ integration, but will be available within a future release
  • Returning completed documents to Encompass for SmartSign+ packages
  • eNotary Hub support

Bugs Resolved

The following bug fixes are included with this release:

  • Lender logos now remain on screen throughout the duration of the signing session.
  • The program no longer gives unwanted exceptions when accessing the lender configuration for lenders where the Pay To Address is not defined.

The Assign Closing API now supports the SmartSign+ friendly ID assigned to SmartSign+ transactions.
