What are the recording restrictions?

  • The recording offices in HI, IA, MA, MS, MO, NV, NC, NH and UT do not accept double-sided documents for recording.
  • Tuscaloosa County (AL) does not accept double-sided documents for recording.
  • Sussex County (DE) imposes a non-compliance fee when double-sided documents are submitted for recording.
  • City of Philadelphia (PA) does not accept double-sided documents for recording.
  • An additional charge may be imposed when double-sided documents are submitted for recording in WV.
