• Virtual Drive removed
  Due to the restructuring of javascript files (another perk, perhaps), we no longer have need of a virtual drive to emulate the documentation servers locally through the use of a virtual drive. The D drive we previously utilized has been removed.

• Updated scenarios
  The Oxygen scenarios have been updated to reflect the new environment. you can find and import the latest from:

  Available with version 20.1 of Oxygen is the ability to transform DITA source code to PDF using CSS transformations. This means a much easier method for creating PDFs and maintaining the transformation files.

• Streamlined files
  Due to the above mentioned improvements to PDF transformations, we now no longer require the old PDF framework we have relied on since we began with DITA. This allows us to completely utilize the framework files that are installed with Oxygen and also results in needing to distribute a third of the files previously required.

• New Local Webserver added
  The afterbody javascript file was modularized per direction. As a result the local javascript files do not function properly (calling "included" files locally is not permitted to protect against executable files). This requires us to run a webserver locally.
  USBWebserver is now employed to allow us to test our content locally before publishing to a server. USBWebserver automatically runs in the background when DITA Tools is started. In order to take advantage of the local webserver, you must transform your content to the USBWebserver\root folder on your virtual drive.

• Batch check in/out link updated
  The initial SharePoint location for batch checking in and out of files is not longer accessible. The link has been updated to reflect the alternative location.

• New transformation scenario for Dynamic Profiling
  A new scenario has been provided to transform dynamic profiling pages using the Tree model. Previously, only the Tiles model was available.

• O20 framework and IE11 Due to an identified issue in which IE11 would not display an O20 transformed artifact correctly, the O20 DITA framework has been modified to hard code compatibility within pages. This code affects only IE11 browsers.

  Links to the InfoDev servers have been added to give you quick access within File Explorer.

• Changelog Nav sorting
  Changelog Navigation sorting has been implemented for Authoring Tools Changelogs. This feature automatically sorts the Enhancements and Defects lists alphabetically.

  In order for this to happen, the associated ul must end in one of the following:

  • ChangelogNav
  • ChangelogNavEnhancements
  • ChangelogNavDefects

  This can be done in oXygen by entering on of the above in the audience attribute of the changelog list.

• noindex,nofollow added to WebHelp pages
  Due to search engines now not honoring a no crawl request, a new meta tag has been added to all pages created through InfoDev transformations.

  The following has been added to the head section of each page.

  <meta name= robots content= noindex,nofollow,noarchive >

  • The NOINDEX value tells search engines NOT to index this page, so basically this page should not show up in search results.
  • The NOFOLLOW value tells search engines NOT to follow (discover) the pages that are LINKED TO on this page.
  • The NOARCHIVE value tells search engines NOT to store a cached copy of this page.
• Refresh issue resolved
  The issue in which you needed to refresh the page in order to view the contents of the page has been resolved. The default code from the oXygen transform hides the page content while the page loads. There was an issue in the timing of the pages in which the page would not load fast enough for the default code to display the content.

  Extra code has been added to ensure the content is displayed 1.5 seconds after the page has completed loading.

  Previously, sections and other expandable/collapsible elements required you to click the icon (chevron) next to the title or element to display or hide the content.

  In order to bring clarity to the description for the Toggle Highlight feature, it was updated to include a screen capture.
• Context text restyled
  The text for the <context> element has been restyled to reflect GRC standards, including: blue color, 18px font size.

• Hidden Search Bar
  To potentially reduce the amount of scrolling necessary on a page, the Search bar has been hidden by default. Clicking the Search icon located in the upper right of the screen displays the Search bar.
• Search Bar Focus
  Code was modified so that when a user clicks the Search button the focus is automatically set to the Search input box.
• Sticky index footer
  The footer for the index.html page has been made to stick to the bottom. This means that when content does not stretch to fill the browser, the footer will appear on the bottom of the page - not floating above it.
• Search Tips definition change
  The definition for Search for an exact match has been modified to include an example for "closing costs" instead of "change password". This is to reduce confusion as customers may be looking to learn how to change passwords.

• Feedback: URL not being captured
  Previously, the url a user was on when they submitted feedback was not being captured. Now, the entire url is captured and reported in the database and resulting email.
• Loading graphic added
  With the increasing features and functionality of InfoDev WebHelp pages, the load time for pages has been getting longer. A new loading graphic has been implemented that appears while a page loads indicating the loading status. The graphic disappears when the loading has completed.

• Temporary highlight of visited targets
  A section or target is now highlighted yellow temporarily to indicate on long pages (or cross pages) where the user is to focus attention. This is helpful in situations where there are multiple possible targets within the current browser window view.
