Getting Started
Welcome to the Wolters Kluwer Deposit Accounts Electronic Book
We think you’ll find the Deposit Accounts Electronic Book to be a valuable resource for your deposit operations.
This electronic resource is designed to give you a working knowledge of the federal laws that affect the opening and operation of deposit and share accounts in plain, easy-to-understand language.
Much more than just a static text source, the Electronic Book allows you to research and answer almost any deposit account question. Its delivery as online help (HTML) allows you to use this valuable reference through a Web browser on the most common operating systems and platforms, including the following: Microsoft Windows and Macintosh. We have developed for and tested this electronic book using Microsoft's Internet Explorer. The third-party viewer applications that are available for these various platforms provide unique functionality specific to each environment. We have developed for and tested this electronic book using Microsoft's HTML Help Viewer application, which is built into the Microsoft Windows operating system. Use of this reference on platforms other than Microsoft Windows using Microsoft's default HTML Help Viewer application is at your discretion. Wolters Kluwer does not offer support for third-party CHM viewers on Windows or non-Windows platforms.
The Deposit Accounts Electronic Book is divided into two parts:
- Part I reviews the laws and regulations which affect the opening of an account.
- Part II covers the ongoing rules and responsibilities (after account opening).
Whenever possible, in addition to outlining the actual rules, we have tried to include the rationale behind the rules to help you learn and remember them.
Use the Electronic Book as a training tool for new employees, a refresher tool for experienced personnel, a reference and research tool, or a resource for your legal counsel.
