When HMDA Applies is selected, how does the Action Taken selected affect the Action Taken Date within the Origination/Disposition area on the Calculations page?

  • When Action Taken is ‘1 = Loan originated’, the Note Date entered in the Terms of Loan section of the Calculations page will default to the Action Taken Date.
  • When Action Taken is ‘2 = Application approved but not accepted', '3 = Application denied', '5 = File closed for incompleteness', '7 = Preapproval request denied', or '8 = Preapproval request approved but not accepted', the Action Taken Date will default the Application Package Disclosure Date when you have selected Use the Application Package Disclosure Date on Additional Application Documents on the Loan Definition page. If you have not selected Use the Application Package Disclosure Date on Additional Application Documents, the Action Taken Date will default the Document Print or Mailing Date from such documents as the Notice of Action Taken.
  • When Action Taken is ‘4 = Application withdrawn by applicant’ or ‘6 = Purchased loan’ the Action Taken Date will default as blank.
