Where do I enter inspection and handling fees for construction transactions?

Inspection and handling fees, including draw fees, for the disbursement of construction loan proceeds based on the completion of specific stages or time periods, are entered on the Calculations page in either the Fees section or the Post-Closing Fees section but not both. If the fee is collected at or before closing, then it should be entered in the Fees section and are disclosed on page 2 of the Loan Estimate and Closing Disclosure as Loan Costs.

If the fee is collected after closing, the fee should be entered in the Inspection and Handling Fees table within the Post-Closing Fees section. Inspection and handling fees collected after closing are disclosed on the Loan Estimate Addendum, Closing Disclosure-Addendum (See comment 3 to §1026.37(f) for additional details) and Written List of Providers.
