My organization is regulated by the OCC; how do I continue to report the Reasons for Denial on my partially exempt transactions?
The final rule, published August 31, 2018, amending HMDA, indicates (in footnote 37) that certain financial institutions supervised by the OCC and the FDIC are required by those agencies to report reasons for denial on their HMDA loan/applications registers.
If you are licensed for the HMDA Wiz interface, you can configure the Denial field(s) within HMDA Wiz so code 1111 is not selected when you have indicated that the transaction is partially exempt.
If you are not licensed for the HMDA Wiz interface, code 1111 will only be included in the HMDA LAR Record and pipe delimited file for Reasons for Denial when FDIC, FRB, NCUA, or CFPB is selected for Federal Regulator within Administration for the Organization selected on the Loan Definition page.
