How do I set Jointly or Not Jointly for the Assets and Liabilities (Section 7) of the Uniform Residential Loan Application (URLA) or Uniform Credit Application Real Estate (UCA-RE)?

To identify that assets and liabilities are to be disclosed as jointly on the URLA when there are multiple borrowers or cosigners and both party’s information will be used to determine loan qualifications, on the Parties page, select Co-Applicants and define the appropriate relationships for the application document. To identify the Co-Applicants as joint select Combine Assets and Liabilities with Co-Applicant under the Borrower or Cosigner sections on the Document Data page.

Another way for jointly to be identified is specific to the borrower or cosigner having a spouse or equivalent (e.g. registered domestic partner) and community property laws apply. Indicating community property laws apply is found under the Borrower and Cosigner sections on the Document Data page.
