User Scenario – Resubmission of Automated Underwriting Service Request

This scenario begins 20 days after Alice Freddie, a single adult, received her loan application package from Lenny Lender for a $100,000, 30-year, fixed-rate mortgage. Initial credit and automated underwriting findings produced an eligible status. Subsequently, Alice is seeking to increase the loan amount by $10,000 as she recently used some of her down payment funds for an unexpected medical need. Patty, at the request of Lenny, has updated all applicable loan application data and documents, and will resubmit the loan to Freddie Mac for an updated automated underwriting assessment from Freddie Mac’s Loan Product Advisor from within ComplianceOne.

Patty follows this process:

  • Patty selects Automated Underwriting on the ComplianceOne services menu.
  • Patty reviews and enters additional data on the Loan Product Advisor page.

    Automated Underwriting Criteria Section

    • Patty selects Detached in the Property Type list.
    • Patty selects Submit.
  • ComplianceOne resubmits the automated underwriting (plus merged credit) service request to Loan Product Advisor. Feedback Findings (reports and certificates) and data are returned to the Loan Product Advisor page in ComplianceOne.
  • Patty views and/or prints the findings, selects Save, and is returned to the ComplianceOne page she was on before the service was initiated.

This view shows the Loan Product Advisor page after an existing ComplianceOne mortgage transaction has been recalled and Automated Underwriting has been selected from the ComplianceOne Services menu.

  • Submission Information: The Key Identifier and Loan Identifier saved from the initial service request display.
    • Key Identifier: This unique identifier is used for the loan throughout its duration in Loan Product Advisor. The number is assigned by Freddie Mac the first time a loan is submitted to Loan Product Advisor and is returned in the response file as part of the feedback certificate.
    • Loan Identifier: This unique identifier is used for the loan throughout its duration in Loan Product Advisor. It is available after the loan is initially created in Loan Product Advisor and returned in the Loan Product Advisor response file.
  • Borrower Addresses: This section automatically changes if there were changes to the borrowers on the Parties page in ComplianceOne.
  • Automated Underwriting Criteria: Previous data does not display. Enter applicable data. At a minimum, a property type is required.
  • Verification Services: This section displays with data previously entered.
  • Submit: Select Submit to send the service request to Loan Product Advisor. After a successful service submission, an Automated Underwriting Findings section displays with findings that can be viewed and printed by the user. See View 7 in the first scenario for more information.
