Uploading Content to the Web Server

For content to be viewable by our customers, it must first be uploaded to the temporary web server.

To upload content to the web server:

  1. Generate your webhelp content in oXygen 15 using the established oXygen transformation and InfoDev best practices.
  2. Using Windows Explorer, browse to the location you wish to upload your content.
For information on the structure of documentation within the InfoDev web server, refer to Web Server Structure.
  3. In another Windows Explorer window, locate the content ready for uploading to the web server.
When using the InfoDev best practices for oXygen configuratio, this is located as follows:

C:/Dev/out/${pn}/webhelp where ${pn} is the project name.

Example: For IRAMC this location would be C:\Dev\out\IRAMC\webhelp.

  4. Copy the entire contents of the location in Step 3 to the location in Step 2.
When the upload is complete, verify the content and provide the URL access to the teams as discussed in Providing Links to the Teams.
