Web Help Presentation Elements

This topic explains the major areas of the web help presentation.

There are specific features built in to the presentation of the Web Help which not only allow application developers to provide simple access to contextually important information, but also allows the user to browse or search for other related information.

Feature Description
Header

Contains:
  • Title of the document
  • Content Tab
  • Search Tab
  • Frames button
  • Print button
Content Tab

Displays the Table of Contents, if not currently visible, allowing the user to browse through all application documentation.
Search Tab

Displays the Search feature, allowing the user to perform a full text search of the application help content. For more information, refer to Searching for Content
Index Tab (not shown) If index items are configured within the help content, a tab is displayed providing access to the index entries.
Frames Button

Displays the help content in HTML frames; helpful for some older browsers.
Print Button

Allows you to send the content displayed in the content area to any defined printers.
Main Navigation (Lower portion of Content Tab) Allows you to browse through all application content. The selected topic is highlighted with the main WKFS green color for ease of identification within the navigation.
Content area (highlighted above) Displays the contents of the currently selected topic.
Related Links Pages can be configured to show links to related content. The example above displays related links on the Home Screen topic linking to the Create and Account task topic as well as the Transaction Screen topic.
Footer Logo

The footer of each topic displays the WKFS logo and legal name.

Searching for Content

The Search tab allows you to display the Search feature of the Web Help window.

This provides a full text search of all content within the application help documentation.

For example, if a user wishes to search for any topics dealing with accounts, he could enter account as a keyword and the following return would result.

The number of stars indicate the percent of confidence.
