IRAMC Example

This topic discusses how help documentation is accessed from any Next Gen application, using IRAMC as an example.

To best illustrate the idea of how documentation is presented to and accessed by the end user, the following paragraphs are provided.
Note: While IRAMC is used as the product example, the same concept applies to all Next Gen products.
  1. An end user logs into IRAMC and is presented with the main screen.

  2. The Help link (highlighted above) is clicked, displaying the associated topic of the product Help documentation within a new tab or window.

    Note:
  3. Working through the Transaction Workflow, the user comes to the Plan Info screen. Needing more help, he clicks the same Help link in the exact same location as before.

This time the Plan Info help topic is displayed in a new browser or window.

Note: If the user did not close the previous Help tab/window, the new topic will appear in the same tab/window.

Utilizing the same Help link in a dynamic fashion helps provide uniformity throughout the application as well as making access to documentation more intuitive to the user.
