Adding a Related Party

This screen allows you to associate an existing party with the party you are creating or editing.

To add a related party:
  1. Click +RELATED.
    The Related Parties screen is displayed.
  2. Browse or search for a party you wish to add as a related party.
    • To browse through all possible parties, leave the Party Search field blank and press Enter.
    • To search for a specific party, type part of the party's name in the Party Search field and press Enter.

    The Select Related Party screen is displayed.

  3. When you have located the party, click the party listing to select it.
    You are returned to the Related Party Details screen with the selected party within the Related Parties section. Click on the newly added party to open the Related Party Details dialog.
  4. Enter as much information for the related party as possible.
  5. Click Close.
    The related party information is updated and you are returned to the Create or Edit Party screen.
    Note: The related party is not saved until you click SAVE for the party.
    The following table describes the features of the Related Parties section.
    Feature Description
    Owner Allows you to indicate the related party is an owner of the entity
    Ownership Percentage Allows you to indicate the percentage of ownership the related party has for the party
    Signer Allows you to indicate the related party is a signer of the entity
    Title Allows you to enter the title of the signer
    SBA SPECIFIC
    Affiliate Select this option to indicate this related party is an affiliate of the entity.
    Note: Checking this will include the affiliate's name if the Affiliate Addendum is expanded for display on the Form 7-Eligibility Information for Preferred Lender Participation and the Eligibility Questionnaire for the Standard 7a Guaranty documents.
    Subject Individual Select this option to indicate this related party is a subject individual.
    Note: The system automatically creates a Form912-Statement of Personal History and 1919-SBAExpress and Pilot Loan Program Borrower Information (Express Loans) for any individual flagged as a Subject Individual, even if they are not an Owner.
