The following steps summarize how the DITA content is modified during Content Preparation. This
procedure was originated in a procedure sent by Sandie Trevathan of Vasont.
- Change file extensions from .dita to .xml
- Change href and conref values within all content to reflect the change of file
extensions
- Eliminate filepaths from href and conref attribute values
- Introduce a type attribute to topicrefs
- Eliminate unnecessary tabs and word spaces and line ends inserted by the editor
- Remove file extension from .xml files
