System Tasks: Purge

The purging option allows system administrators the ability to remove packages from the vault permanently. Once packages have been set as deleted, either manually by the user or automatically by the archiving timer, they are set to purge after a configurable number of days.

Purging is a standard SDX process that is typically handled automatically by a process that runs every hour. This manual purge option overrides the automated purging cycle and should not be used by any non-technical staff.

Click Purge on the Purge page to clear these packages from the vault, thereby releasing disk space. Package content will not be accessible after purging, although the database will retain information about the package, which can be accessed via the Reporting function.
