Configure Timers

The Timer Configuration screen allows you to select a group container and configure timers. Note that you must configure a paper out account (insert hyperlink) before configuring timers.

  1. Click the Configure Timers menu option then select a group container to display the Timer Configuration screen.
  2. Complete the fields as follows:
    Feature Description
Group Name This field displays the Group Name to which these timer setters will be applied.

review note: Note that in my case no Group Name was displayed. Is this because, even though I had selected my Group, this Group is not configured as a Paper Out account? Some tips here would be useful.

Run Timers at Weekends Select this checkbox, then select Saturday or Sunday (or both). Timers (by default) count only business days, which exclude weekends and holidays. When selected, the timers count the weekend day within the timer period.
Run Timers during Holidays Select this checkbox to include holiday within the timer period.review note: Might be worth noting where the holiday dates come from - default or configured in skin?
Show Absolute Expiry Time Select this checkbox to enable the reminder notification messages to be sent at the specified intervals to the enhanced package recipient.

This description doesn't really seem to relate to the title (and is duplicated in the "Run Notification Timers" section below). review note: This description doesn't really seem to relate to the title (and is duplicated in the "Run Notification Timers" section below).

  3. Complete Notification Timers as necessary.
    Feature Description
Run Notification Timers Select this checkbox to enable the reminder notification messages to be sent to the enhanced package recipient at the interval you specify. Then select Daily or Hourly to specify whether the notifications are sent daily (once a day until the package is accessed or expires) or hourly (specified intervals until the package is accessed or expires). review note: Not clear where the "specified intervals" are actually set. What is an "enhanced package recipient"?
Trigger Hours Enter the specified intervals, in hours, for which the reminder notification will be sent to the recipient. Standard intervals are 24, 48, 54. These values must be separated by a comma, for example: 24, 48, 54. This field is available for use only when Hourly is specified above.

review note: When does the timer actually start? How many times can be set? Is there a minimum?

Send Notification to Senders Check this box to enable reminder notifications to be sent to the package sender as well as the package recipient.
    Exclude Start Time not used
    Exclude End Time not used
  4. Complete Paper Out Timers as necessary.
    Timer Description
Run Paper Out Timers Check this box to enable the reminder notifications to be sent to the package sender as well as the package recipient. The available options are Flexible, Three Day, and TILA/RESPA.
Flexible / Three Day These two options define whether the paper out timers should run with flexible timers or with standard three-day timers. Flexible timers allow the package sender to define the number of days before the package times out to paper. The three-day timer uses the standard RESPA 3 buisness day requirement to time out packages to paper.

review note: how to enable number of days setting?

TILA/RESPA Select this option to enable the TILA/RESPA timers. Then, define the TILA/RESPA settings below.
Zero Hour Select a time (Eastern) that the paper out timers will begin to run. This defaults to 6:00 when the timer is enabled, but can be changed if necessary. When a package is sent, the timer will begin running at 6:00 (am or pm) regardless of what time the package was sent.
Send Expiry Emails Check this box to enable a more formal expiration notification to be sent to the recipient after a package expires. The alternative email is the standard submission notification to paperout@wolterskluwer.com.

review note: Unclear from the description whether this expiry relates to "notification" or "paper out". Should "package expires" really mean "package goes to paper" the alternative email information needs clarification.

  5. Complete the TILA/RESPA Timer Section as necessary.
    Feature Description
Use Non-Default Business Days (applicable for Loan Estimates only) Select this option if you wish to use non-default business days for your TILA/RESPA business day definitions. Default business days are Monday through Friday.

review note: Is it possible to (inadvertently) change this so that the solution is no longer TILA-RESPA compliant? Should this whole section have clear definition of what the default compliant settings are, to check against?

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday Select which days of the week to include as your business days.
Override Offset Use this field to override the default offset and set a new override.

review note: No idea what the "default offset" refers to, or how it is being overidden, or when I would want to do this. More information is needed here.
