The Data Dictionary Viewer is installed from a CD (or DVD). Installation of the Data Dictionary Viewer is handled through an MSI file. The installation files can be found on the product CD (release media) in the DictionaryViewerInstaller folder. You can install the program from the CD directly or copy the installation files to a folder on your computer.
There are two options available when installing the application; default and advanced.
- Default: Installs the application to the default install location and for all users on the machine.
- Advanced: Installs the application and provides options to customize the installation by selecting an install folder and to install for a single user on the machine.
The following files are distributed as part of the installation package.
- MSI: DictionaryViewerInstaller.msi
- CAB: A single *.cab file that is opened by the installer during installation. This file must exist on the same folder as the MSI file.
