Expere Engine and Content (Tools)

The following sections list the minimum hardware and software requirements to install and run the Expere Engine and Content (Tools) suite. The suite comprises the following applications:

Expere Document Engine
Expere Knowledge Base
Organizational Policy and Product Setup Application (OPPSA), DocViewer, and Content Administration Tool

The Expere Document Engine and Knowledge Base deploys to either a Java or Windows environment (OS). Within each OS environment, the Expere database (the content repository) must run either Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server.

Note: Alternatively, the content repository can live on a file system structure. For information about options for implementing a file system based configuration as opposed to a database configuration, see an implementation consultant.
