This guide provides detailed hardware and software requirements for the Expere product line. The Expere product line is made up of multiple components, each with specific hardware and software requirements.
This guide is organized into three groupings:
- Expere Engine and Content (Tools)
- Expere Testing and Integration Tools
- Expere Authoring Tools
Note: In response to the end of support announcement from Microsoft regarding the Windows XP operating system, customers are advised that the Expere solution will no longer be available on Windows XP systems. Details from Microsoft can be found
here. Windows XP SP3 and Office 2003 will go out of support on April 8, 2014.
Expere Engine and Content (Tools)
This collection includes the Expere Document Engine, Expere Knowledge Base, and three primary applications: Organizational Policy and Product Setup Application (OPPSA), DocViewer, and Content Administration Tool.
- Expere Document Engine: The Expere Document Engine is the runtime production system that utilizes the Expere Knowledge Base of compliance content to perform document selection, assembly and package documents or document sets specific to the transaction based on the data received from a front-end system via API methods.
- Expere Knowledge Base: The Expere Knowledge Base is the repository of compliance content to generate compliance lending documentation using the Expere Document Engine.
- Organization, Policy, and Product Application: The Organization, Policy and Product Application (OPPSA) set-up tool is used to configure Expere for features such as: Barcodes, Document packet definition, Document print order and number of document copies, Document output parameters, Organizations, and Product and Policy Setting (Deposit Only).
- DocViewer: The Expere DocViewer is an intelligent component that provides a method to collects document-specific Transaction Data. The DocViewer is utilized as an integration tool to visualize the impact of data mapping with content and as an intelligent component integrated directly into the production platform to minimize development of data collection screens, data mapping and business rule coding.
- Content Administration Tool: The Expere Content Administration Tool aids in the management and deployment of content updates
Expere Testing and Integration Tools
This collection includes the Expere Testing System, Data Dictionary Viewer, and Data Integration Validation Tool.
- Expere Testing System: The Expere Testing System provides an environment for users to develop test transactions, perform unit testing of documents and selection rules, and compare content changes on the resulting documents through PDF/XML compare functionality.
- Data Dictionary Viewer: The Expere Data Dictionary Viewer (DDV) is a tool that provides a structured method for viewing the relationships between the Expere Knowledge Base documents (content) and the transaction data requirements and rules required to select, assemble and populate documents.
- Data Integration Validation Tool: Data Integration Validation tools is a tool that allow you to run test transaction through you front end system and compare the results with the same transaction data process directly by Expere. The tools assists with validating the schema mappings between the front-end system and the Expere schema are producing the intended results.
Expere Authoring Tools
This collection supports content authoring through the Requirements and Content Editor and the I-32 Design tool.
- Requirements and Content Editor: An XML-based authoring tool providing structured text authoring, rules creation, document previews, and transaction testing features.
- I-32 Design: A WYSIWYG form design tool used to author static documents.
