Procedure (SQL Server)

  1. Launch the Expere Data Model Install utility from the Expere Application CD.
    • Windows Install File: Repository\windows\ExpereDataModel_SQL_Install.exe.
  2. The Expere Data Model Installation screen displays installation instructions. Read the instructions carefully. Click Next.
  3. The Choose Log and Source Files Location screen appears. In the Where would you like the log files and source files placed field, enter the desired log and source files location.
  4. Click Next to display the Install Location Summary screen. This screen allows the user to review the install folder before installing the source files.
  5. Click Install to continue.
    Note: The installation process takes a few minutes. When complete, the installation will advance the user to the Choose Automated or Manual Install screen.
  6. The Choose Automated or Manual Install screen appears. Select Follow the automated steps. Click Next.
  7. The Expere Data Model Connection screen appears. Enter the following information:
    • Host
    • Port
    • Expere IE Repository Name
  8. Click Next.
  9. Enter the following information:
    • SQL Admin user
    • Password
    • Confirm password
  10. Click Next.
  11. The Ready to create Expere_Data_Model_<Database Name> screen appears. Review the information. Click Next.
  12. The Automated Expere Data Model Install Complete screen appears. Click Done.
