Open Dictionary

When you first launch the Data Dictionary Viewer, you are automatically prompted to navigate to and open a data source (dictionary file). Data Dictionary files are EDDV file types and are generated for each release through the Data Dictionary Builder tool. The builder is a command line application that builds the EDDV, whereas the viewer is a read-only tool allowing you to view the data contained in the EDDV.

In the Open dialog box, double-click on an *.eddv file to open the Data Dictionary Viewer with the selected data source. The file name of the open data source is displayed in the Data Dictionary Viewer title bar.

The .EDDV files for the purchased content resides on the Content CD. After opening an initial dictionary file, you may open another using the File/Open Data Dictionary menu.
