Unit test an assembly rule change for a document

Objective: To create an XML transaction and unit test an assembly rule.

  1. Before promoting the changed content into the testing Expere Knowledge Base a baseline PDF needs to be savedLoad the Expere Testing System.

  2. Click the Assembly link.
  3. Select appropriate precedence level from the Precedence combo box.
  4. Click the Document(s) Browse button, find the correct folder and select the document(s) that will be affected by the new assembly rule.
  5. Click the checkbox next to the desired file. Click the OK button.
  6. Click the Document DDR button.
  7. Enter data in applicable fields.
  8. Click the Store Session Data button to store the transaction data.
  9. Select Single PDF from the Assembly Options combo box.
  10. Click the Assemble button.
  11. Click check box next to the assembled document.
  12. Click Save Baseline – this is the baseline PDF.
  13. Repeat Steps 2-11.
  14. Click Save Target – this is the target PDF.
  15. Click Compare Files.
  16. Browse baseline set and find the baseline PDF.
  17. Click the check box next to the PDF file.
  18. Click OK.
  19. Browse target set and find the target PDF.
  20. Click the check box next to the PDF file.
  21. Click OK.
  22. Click Add All.
  23. Click Compare.
  24. Click the .dff file to view the baseline and comparison PDF.
