Creating an Expere Data Model

This section describes how to create or upgrade an Expere Data Model. Creating a test data model is identical to creating a production data model.

Note: No practical difference exists between a test and production data model apart from the location and usage.

The user may use one of two methods for creating an Expere data model:

The automated process with installation wizard
The manual process from the command line. If performing a manual install, skip to the manual install process (refer to Appendix E for alternative installation methods).

The installation should be performed from the Database Administrator (DBA) workstation.
