Creating an Expere Data Model for MS SQL Database

  1. Launch the Expere Data Model Install utility from the Expere Application CD.
    • Windows Install File: ExpereDataModel_SQL_Install.exe

    The Expere Data Model Installation screen appears.

  2. Read the onscreen instructions and click Next.

    The Choose Log and Source File Location screen appears.

  3. Click Next.
    Note: Users should place the source and log files in a location other than the default. Click Choose to use a different log and source file location.

    The Install Location Summary screen appears.

  4. Read the onscreen instructions and click Install.

    The Choose Automated or Manual Install screen appears.

  5. Click the Follow the automated steps option button and click Next.
  6. The Expere Data Model Connection screen appears. Complete the following information:
    • Host (The IP address of the computer on which you are installing)
    • Port (defaults as 1433)
    • Expere IE Repository Name
  7. Click Next. Complete the following information:
    • SQL Admin user (sa)
    • Password (password created when installing/configuring SQL)
    • Confirm Password
  8. Click Next to display the Ready to create <location folder name> screen. Review the information.
  9. Click Next. After a few moments, the Automated Expere Data Model Install Complete screen appears.
  10. Click Done.
