Adding Roles and Features

This section explains how to add roles and features through the Add Roles and Features Wizard, available in Windows Server 2012.

  1. In the Roles Summary or Features Summary areas of the Server Manager main window, either Add Roles or Add Features to open the Add Roles and Features Wizard.
  2. Verify Web Server (IIS) and Application Server are installed.
  3. For Application Server verify the following are checked:
    • Check .NET Framework 3.5.1
    • Web Server (IIS) Support
    • TCP Port Sharing
    • HTTP Activation
