Editor Preferences
Oxygen XML Editor lets you configure the appearance of various components and features of the main editor. To access these options, open the Preferences dialog box and go to Editor.
The following options are available:
- Selection background color
- Allows you to set the background color of selected text.
- Selection foreground color
- Allows you to set the color of selected text.
- Completion proposal background
- Allows you to set the background color of the Content Completion Assistant.
- Completion proposal foreground
- Allows you to set the color of the text in the Content Completion Assistant.
- Documentation window background
- Allows you to set the background color of the documentation of elements suggested by the Content Completion Assistant.
- Documentation window foreground
- Allows you to set the color of the text for the documentation of elements suggested by the Content Completion Assistant.
- Find highlight color
- Allows you to set the color of the highlights generated by the Find and Find all actions.
- XPath highlight color
- Allows you to set the color of the highlights generated when you run an XPath expression.
- Declaration highlight color
- Allows you to set the color of the highlights generated by the Find declaration action.
- Reference highlight color
- Allows you to set the color of the highlights generated by the Find reference action.
- Maximum number of highlights
- Allows you to set the maximum number of highlights that Oxygen XML Editor displays.
- Show TAB/NBSP/EOL/EOF marks
- Makes the TAB/NBSP/EOL/EOF
characters visible in the editor. You can use the color picker to choose the color of
the marks.
- Show SPACE marks
- Makes the space character visible in the editor.
- Can edit read only files
- If this option is selected, Oxygen XML Editor will let you edit, but not save, a read-only file. If the option is disabled, a warning message is displayed when you try to edit a read-only file.
- Display quick-assist and quick-fix side hints
- Displays the Quick Assist icon (
)
and Quick Fix icon (
) in the line number stripe on the left side of the editor. - Undo history size
- Allows you to set the maximum amount of undo operations you can perform in any of the editor modes (Text, Author, Design, Grid).
