A quick way to create an eXist connection is to use the dedicated Create eXist-db XML connection dialog box. Open the Preferences dialog box, go to and click Create eXist-db XML connection. After you fill in the fields, click OK and go to to view your connection.
To create an eXist connection using this dialog box, Oxygen XML Editor expects the exist/webstart/exist.jnlp path to be accessible at the provided Host and Port.
