The New wizard
enables you to select predefined templates or custom templates. Custom templates are created
in previous sessions or by other users.
The list of templates presented in the dialog
includes:
- Document Types templates - Templates supplied with the defined document types.
- User defined templates - You can add template files to the
templates folder of the Oxygen XML Editor install directory.
You can also specify another directory to use for templates. Open the
Preferences dialog box and go to to specify a custom templates folder.

Go to menu .

Select a document type.

Press the Finish
button.
The newly created document already contains the structure and content provided in
the template.
