Resizing Objects with the Keyboard
You can also resize objects with the keyboard. When you use the keyboard keys with Snap to Grid on, sizing is based on the grid increments. When Snap to Grid is off, sizing is based on small, predefined increments.
To resize objects with the keyboard
1. Select the object you want to resize.
2. Press
and hold it down.
3. With
pressed, press the arrow keys to resize the object. Each time you press an arrow key,
the object will increase or decrease in size:

Press
to increase the width. -
Press
to decrease the width. -
Press
to increase the height. -
Press
to decrease the height.
To resize lines with the keyboard
1. Select the line you want to resize.
2. Press
and hold it down.
3. With
pressed, press the arrow key that stretches the line in the direction you want:

On a horizontal line,
and
move the right sizing handle
horizontally. -
On a vertical line,
and
move the lower sizing handle
vertically.
Note:
Because only horizontal and vertical movement is available with the arrow keys, the angle of any line that is not horizontal or vertical will change as it is stretched.
