Resizing Objects Relative to Each Other

You can quickly and easily resize an object or a group of objects to the dimensions of another object with the resizing commands. These commands can be initiated from either the Resize tool bar or the context menu. They can reduce the entire group of objects to the height or width of the smallest object or enlarge them to the height or width of the largest object. You can make the selected objects the same height, the same width, or both.

To change the height of a group of objects with the tool bar

1. Select the objects you want to resize. The object that is the correct height must be either the tallest or the shortest of the group:

  • To reduce the objects to the height of the shortest object, click:

  • To expand the objects to the height of the tallest object, click :

To change the height of a group of objects with the context menu

To change the width of your objects with the tool bar

To change the width of your objects with the context menu

1. Select the objects you want to resize. The object that is the correct width must be either the narrowest or the widest of the group.

2. Right-click anywhere in the selection box to display the context menu.

  • To reduce the objects to the width of the narrowest object, clickSmallest Width:
