The Menu

Now that a file is loaded, the menu contains more options. Each of these main menu options contains a menu of related commands. You will learn more about each of them in the rest of this guide. To show how they work, we will use an Edit menu command to make a copy of our rectangle.

  1. On the Draw toolbar, click the Arrow tool ( ).
  2. Click on the rectangle you just drew. Note that it is once again surrounded by the selection box.
  3. On the Edit menu, click Copy to copy the rectangle to the Clipboard. Alternatively, press Ctrl+C on the keyboard.
  4. On the Edit menu, click Paste. Alternitively, press Ctrl+V on the keyboard.
  5. When you move the mouse pointer over the Form Display pane, the pointer changes to and an outline of the copied re tangle appears.
  6. Position the rectangle outline on the screen just to the right of the original rectangle, and click the mouse button. The copy of the rectangle is pasted on your form.
  7. Click outside the box to remove the selection box.
