Drawing an Object

To show how the drawing tool bar works, let’s draw a rectangle:

1. Click the Rectangle Tool button ( ) to enable it.
2. Move your pointer back to the Form Display pane. Your mouse pointer changes to the Rectangle pointer ( ) .
3. Place the + of the pointer somewhere in the upper left corner of your form page.
4. Hold your left mouse button down and drag your mouse to draw the rectangle. You will see an outline on the screen that looks like the following:
5. When the outline is the size you want, release your mouse button. Your rectangle will appear like this:
6. The rectangle is enclosed by a dotted line and some green squares. This is called a selection box. The selection box shows which object you are currently working on. Click your mouse once anywhere on the screen and you will see your finished rectangle:
