Cutting, Copying, and Pasting Text

You can select text in a text box and copy it to other text boxes. You can also cut selected text from one text box and paste it into another text box or into another location in the same text box. When text is cut or copied, it will be given the at­tri­butes of the text box that it is pasted into.

To copy text to other text boxes

1. Select the text you want to copy.

2. Do one of the following to copy the text:

  • Right-click anywhere in the text box and select Copy from the context menu.

  • Select Copy from the Edit menu.

  • Click on the command tool bar.

  • Press + on the keyboard.

3. Place your text insertion point in the text box where you want to paste the copied text.

4. Do one of the following to paste the text into the text box:

  • Right-click and select Paste from the context menu.

  • Select Paste from the Edit menu.

  • Click on the command tool bar.

  • Press + on the keyboard.

  • Press + on the keyboard.

To move text to another text box

1. Select the text you want to move.

2. Do one of the following to cut the text to the clipboard:

  • Right-click anywhere in the text box and select Cut from the context menu.

  • Select Cut from the Edit menu.

  • Click on the command tool bar.

  • Press + on the keyboard.

  • Press + on the keyboard.

3. Place your text insertion point in the text box where you want to place the text.

4. Do one of the following to paste the text into the text box:

  • Right-click and select Paste from the context menu.

  • Select Paste from the Edit menu.

  • Click on the command tool bar.

  • Press + on the keyboard.

  • Press + on the keyboard.
